Our favorite season has arrived, red carpet season! We love this time of year because we get to see our favorite celebs at their most glamorous not to mention see all the hot trends for the upcoming season. So far with the VMA's and the Emmy's we are seeing a huge trend in red. For the most part, all the stars brought their A game last night but these ladies stood out among the crowd. Sarah Hyland was perfection in a two piece creation by Christian Siriano. Gwen Stefani has hit the style mark two nights in a row, showing up last night in a modern Versace shimmering silver two piece. Keke Palmer looked like the young starlet she is wearing a gorgeous royal blue Rubin Singer gown. Kate Walsh looked like a ray of sunshine in a bold yellow Stephane Rolland Haute Couture gown. Heidi Klum looked effortlessly chic in a coral Zac Posen gown. Who were your faves of the night?
The MTV Video Music Awards were held last night and these stars showed up in style. Gwen Stefani stood out in a hot pink peplum top and slim fit trousers by her own line L.A.M.B. Miley Cyrus left the twerking behind this year giving us a more sophisticated Miley but still sassy and youthful wearing an Alexandre Vauthier black leather bandeau and leather high waist pants. Demi Lovato was the lady in red wearing a plunging neckline dress by Lanvin. Iggy Azalea stunned in a curve hugging Atelier Versace gown and Beyonce beamed in black wearing Nicolas Jebran.
We hope everyone has had just as stylish of a week as these four ladies have. Rihanna stepped out for dinner in a statement making high-slit Helmut Lang dress, styling it with a striped clutch, cuff bracelets and lace up Christian Louboutin pump. Bella Thorne strolled the streets in style wearing a bright yellow floral piped Loft shiftdress and snakeskin sandals. Sarah Hyland made an appearance at the Audi Emmy Week celebration in a sexy and sophisticated black and white Alice + Olivia romper an lacy black bralet. Jamie Chung hit up the Marc Jacobs Dream Cloud pop-up lounge looking casual chic in wide leg trousers and a Rebecca Minkoff top.
There is no doubt that Asap Rocky and Chanel Iman are one stylish couple and Vogue agrees. They are featured in their fashion filled September issue. Not only are they showing off some Fall fashion but they are also giving us some sassy, sultry poses. We love these two together and we hope they continue to wow us in the style department!
In honor of her birthday today, we are featuring Coco Chanel in our women of style edition. Born Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, Coco Chanel was a french designer and creator of the iconic Chanel brand. She is the only fashion designer listed on Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. With her timeless and classic approach to fashion including tweed suits and plenty of pearls, she is fashion's greatest icon to date. Coco Chanel took fashion to another level during her time and still today her pieces are the most sought after designs. Every girl wants to own a Chanel bag. It says classy, prestige, "I've arrived!"
This week in chic, it's a battle of the K sisters. Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner both attended the Teen Choice Awards looking glam from head to toe. Kim wore a zebra print Balmain skirt with a black crop top and nude pumps and Kendall opted for a uber chic white draped Oriett Domenech jumpsuit. Angela Simmons was also on the scene this week hosting the Heineken's Friends and Family event in NYC wearing a powder blue Muehleder Kroline Top paired with H&M jeans and Kandee shoes Doll pumps. Tracee Ellis Ross was fashionably spotted at the Neighborhood Awards wearing a blush pink dotted blouse from Mango with a sequin pencil skirt and nude pumps.
